How is it possible for a baby as young as two years to come out of a nursery and just wander down the street for three-quarters of an hour? I don't know what I would do if this happened to my daughter. Surely the first thing he would do would be to get her out of kindergarten. But then, who would take care of my daughter? Who would you trust for your safety and protection?
I wonder if no one noticed a baby was missing. The director of the nursery said that one of the caregivers did notice and was looking for him until they arrived together at the National Police, in Arona, south of Tenerife. After spending a long time walking around a square and a Post Office, the baby was found by another boy of about 10 years old, who took him by the hand to a bar, where the employees contacted the Police. Luckily for the baby, nothing more serious happened.
I put myself in the shoes of the parents of this baby, and I imagine how surprised, worried, and disappointed they will be with the irresponsibility of those who were in charge of their baby. I have already heard dozens of stories of children who run away from schools, colleges, to buy trinkets at the corner store, or to go home for a snack, or simply to play ball in the street. But he had never heard of babies. I don't think a two-year-old will make the decision to sneak out of daycare, much less for something. He left because he found no limits, no security, and no one to prevent him from doing so. If it is something that one learns when one hears this type of news, it is that we always have to be vigilant with our children and with everything that surrounds their safety.Vilma Medina.
